The DS Smith ePack store provides a complete service, including delivery, customised on-demand printing, bespoke pack options, dedicated customer support and a full range of packaging solutions, from tapes, mailers and void-fill right through to a heavy-duty pack of 300 customised corrugated boxes.

Panasonic has launched a ruggedised 7-inch Toughpad designed for measuring 3D objects in a range of applications such as warehouse space optimisation, plant and asset maintenance (e.g. to measure cracks in buildings), the monitoring of bed sores and wound healing, crime scene recording and insurance claim photos. The Windows-based Panasonic Toughpad FZ-M1 tablet with integrated Intel RealSense D410 3D camera (range 16cm- 10m) enables field workers to take and process accurate 3D measurement on the spot and use the images with other line of business applications.

Card printers

Zebra Technologies has launched the ZC100 and the ZC300 card printers, plus new CardStudio 2.0 software for creating and printing high quality ID cards. ZC100 and ZC300 Series card printers feature a card feeder that automatically adjusts to the thickness of each card, a colour LCD display and customisable covers for branding by a retail store or business. Useful security features include a printer cover lock and reject card bin that prevents card stock theft; printer and host authentication firewalls; and government-grade encryption.

New from transfer printing specialist TheMagicTouch, the Ricoh Ri 100 Direct to Garment printer is an all-in-one solution for the on demand printing of T-shirts and other promotional garments. With Smart-UPS with APC SmartConnect, Schneider Electric is introducing the only cloud-enabled uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for distributed IT environments that enables businesses, particularly SMEs with limited IT staff and resources, to proactively manage the health of their UPS systems. Available as a standard feature with select models in APC’s SmartUPS portfolio of uninterruptible power supplies, SmartConnect leverages Schneider Electric’s cloud-enabled EcoStruxure IT architecture to send data about UPS devices, including attery replacement, warranty renewal and UPS performance notifications, and to provide a secure, cloud-based web portal where customers can view the status of their UPS.

Print, copy, scan, chat

Announced at April’s HP Executive Forum in Las Vegas and due to be included in the latest firmware version of Future Smart 4, the new HP Accessibility Assistant provides voice commands and screen reader support for workers with disabilities and age-related limitations. The Assistant is said to improve the usability of HP Enterprise-class A3 and A4 devices by supporting more conversational interactions.

Now with dual scanning

KYOCERA Document Solutions has expanded its economical ECOSYS printer portfolio with three new A4 colour printers (the ECOSYS P7240cdn/P6235cdn/P6230cdn) and four A4 colour MFPs (the ECOSYS M6635cidn/M6235cidn/M6630cidn/ M6230cidn).
