Samsung says that having a foldable display and Hideaway Hinge that opens at multiple angles (like a laptop’s) doesn’t only make the phone less bulky; it also supports new ways of capturing content, including hands-free selfies and video chats.
Other features include a custom UX that maximises the benefits of a foldable screen (e.g. split-screen functionality for productive multitasking) and a cover display that shows notifications of new messages, battery life and time and date. Younger consumers are most likely to embrace the Galaxy Z Flip’s possibilities, but what will they make of the hefty £1,300 price tag?
