Samsung on the Go with new Galaxy Z Flip

You probably won’t want a phone like this, but your daughter might. Featuring Samsung’s first foldable glass display, the marries a 6.7in screen with a compact design small enough to fit into a clutch bag or back pocket.

Samsung says that having a foldable display and Hideaway Hinge that opens at multiple angles (like a laptop’s) doesn’t only make the phone less bulky; it also supports new ways of capturing content, including hands-free selfies and video chats.

Other features include a custom UX that maximises the benefits of a foldable screen (e.g. split-screen functionality for productive multitasking) and a cover display that shows notifications of new messages, battery life and time and date. Younger consumers are most likely to embrace the Galaxy Z Flip’s possibilities, but what will they make of the hefty £1,300 price tag?
