Toshiba TEC UK now carbon neutral
Toshiba TEC has achieved PAS2060 carbon neutrality status for its UK operation. The company has run a Carbon Zero scheme in association with co2balance since 2009 when it began to offset carbon generated in the design, manufacture, shipping and use of its printers and MFPs. Recently, it extended the scheme to cover its entire UK operation, including emissions associated with gas and electricity usage, water and waste, business travel and accommodation. Toshiba neutralises its carbon footprint by buying credits from carbon-saving projects run by co2balance such as the supply of energy-efficient stoves to villages in Kenya and the repair and maintenance of bore holes in Uganda (illustrated).
