Huawei is bringing smartphones and computers closer together with a new feature that enables a Huawei MateBook D Series consumer laptop and Huawei smartphone to share a single display so that users can view content saved on a smartphone on their laptop.
Files can be transferred by dragging them from one user interface to the other. Peripherals connected to the laptop can also be used to navigate the smartphone, giving laptop users seamless access to mobile apps without switching device.
The screen collaboration feature builds on HUAWEI OneHop, launched in November 2018, which enables users to transfer files including images and videos across platforms e.g. between Android smartphones and Windows PCs.
